Victoria Age - 86 - Santa Clara Pueblo Dasheno

Victoria Dasheno, 86, a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo, passed away peacefully with family and friends surrounding her on Friday, April 12, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Teofilio Dasheno; parents, Domacio and Patricia Tafoya; parents in law, Phillip and Reycita Dasheno; brothers, sisters, sister in law and many other relatives . Victoria was a very loving person, always inviting family and friends into her home. Her house was always open to everyone. She enjoyed life. She was a strong Christian Catholic woman who was strong in her faith. Mrs. Dasheno is survived by her children, Calvin Tafoya and Barbara, Walter Daheno and Judy, Cynthia Dasheno, Karen Dasheno, Marie Dasheno, Merlie Dasheno all of Santa Clara Pueblo, Joanna Montoya and George of Santa Ana Pueblo; sisters, Genevieve Suazo and Marie Lyon; sisters in laws, Julia Roybal and Aurelia Lente; nephew and niece who she raised, Stanley Tafoya and Gayle Yepa; grand children, Tanya, Denise, Chris, Walter Jude, Rosita, Tricia, Alexandria, Renee, Aaron, Warren, Joshua, Heather, Justin, Isaac, Kyleigh, Derrik, Justine, Anthony and 19 great-grandchildren along with numerous extend family and friends. A wake will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the family home. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. Santa Clara Catholic Church. Burial to follow at the Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family of Victoria Dasheno has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
