VERONICA ROMERO, 33, a resident of Cordova, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Uvaldo Romero; brother Miguelito Romero; maternal great-grandparents, Rafael and Precide Lopez; paternal grandmother, Florida Romero; uncles Gary Cordova and Donaciano Romero and cousin David Lopez.
Veronica was a loving and caring person with a big heart who was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved her family dearly and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed wood carving with her grandma, Gloria. Veronica loved going to the Spanish Market in Santa Fe. She was a gentle loving person who will be missed dearly.
Ms. Romero is survived by her children, Niki, Gary, Zakarias; friend Antonio Vigil and his daughter Naomi; mother, Evelyn Cordova; maternal grandparents who raised her, Gloria and Herminio Cordova; loving uncle Rafael Cordova; paternal grandfather, Alfredo Romero; half-brothers Ricky Romero (Debra) and Roger Romero (Monica); aunts Lucy Sherwood and husband Jesse, Helen Duran, Patty Martinez and husband Joe, Dora Romero husband Michael and Carol Salazar and husband Peter; really close friends Timoteo Davis and family, Don Wallace and family and Jim and Jan all from Colorado Springs, CO and numerous relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. burial will follow at the Cordova Cemetery.
The following serving as pallbearers, Ricky, Antonio, Roger, Michelle, Ernie, Miranda, Israel, Zakarias and Levi. The family of Veronica Romero has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
