Ursulita (Ursula) C. Cordova, age 86, of Chamita, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 17, 1939, to Rojelio and Carmelita Lucero, Ursula lived a long and beautiful life rooted in love, faith, and family. A devoted Catholic, she held tightly to her faith throughout her life, finding comfort and strength in prayer. Her faith guided her every step and shined through in the way she loved, cared for, and uplifted those around her.
Ursula was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony Cordova; her companion of 20 years, Richard Salazar; her sons Danny Cordova, Carl Cordova, and Anthony Cordova; and her parents, Rojelio and Carmelita Lucero.
She is survived by her children Susie Cordova, Carmen Garcia, and Floyd (Claudette) Cordova; her brother Daniel Lucero; her sister-in-law Marian Lucero; and her 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless pride and joy.
Ursula’s warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She loved sewing, dancing, gardening, fishing, and camping, and she cherished every moment spent surrounded by her family. She also held a special bond with her best friend Socorro, with whom she shared countless hours of laughter and conversation over the phone.
Her home was a place of love, faith, and togetherness — always open to family and friends, always filled with warmth. Her gentle heart, unwavering faith, and joyful spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Ursula will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her faith, her laughter, and the beautiful legacy of love she leaves behind.
