In Loving Memory of Tracy L. Thomas
January 12, 1970 – October 10, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Tracy L. Thomas, who was born on January 12, 1970, in Española, New Mexico, and went home to be with our Lord and Savior on October 10, 2026. Heaven was a place she spoke of often and longed for throughout her life.
Tracy shared 31 years with her longtime partner, Raymond Valdez. She leaves behind her three children, Jaylyn Valdez, James Valdez, and her baby, Jerett Valdez, along with her four grandchildren, Elias, Dylan, Naveyah, and Jessie Fernandez, who was also her godchild.
Tracy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leo and Porfie Rivera, and her maternal grandparents, Matias and Odelia Montoya; her sisters-in-law, Doris Palomares and Hilda Vigil; and her brother-in-law, Eric Valdez.
She is survived by her beloved aunts, Angela, Marie, and Lucy Montoya, who cared deeply for Tracy and held a special place in their hearts for her, as well as her many nieces, nephews, and in-laws who loved and cared for her deeply.
Tracy was funny, compassionate, and kindhearted. She was always willing to listen, lend a helping hand, and offer a prayer to anyone in need. She believed in peace, kindness, and loving one another. Though shy and timid at times, her beautiful personality shone brightest when surrounded by her family, especially her daughter, Jaylyn, and youngest son, Jerett.
Tracy dedicated eight years to working as a Players Club Representative at Santa Claran Casino, a job she truly loved until a life-altering car accident brought her career to an unexpected end. Despite life’s challenges, she continued to carry love in her heart for those around her.
Tracy will forever be remembered for her laughter, her smile, her caring heart, and the little moments that made being around her so special. She loved deeply and wished for peace among the people she loved. Though her physical presence is gone, her love will live on through her children, grandchildren, and everyone blessed to have known her.
Until we meet again, Mom, may you rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Savior, in the Heaven you spoke of so often. You will forever be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
