Tina Garcia was called to heaven on March 20th, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Chamita, NM. She was fondly known as “Auntie” to many. She loved the ranch life; her animals, her garden, the land and most of all family. Tina was blessed with an abundance of family and friends. She loved and adored her lifelong friends and neighbors of Chamita and the surrounding communities. She also leaves behind her handsome, loving Smiley and Hazel.

She was met at the Gates of Heaven by her parents Jose Servando & Tonita Garcia; her brothers Guadalupe & Eloy Garcia; her sister and brother-in-law Donelia & Senon Martinez; nieces Eloisa Martinez & Bettie Cordova; nephews Eloy Arnold Garcia and Daniel Martinez and Great-nieces Angel Duran and Angel Dominique Garcia. Auntie leaves behind her two sister-in-laws; Julia Garcia and Sylvia Garcia; Nephews; Tony Garcia (Christine) and David (Ida) Garcia, Niece; Mary Ann Martinez (Orlando), Niece & Goddaughter Linda (Arnold) Padilla, and niece Joyce (Brian) Balkey, Great Nephews; Paul Garcia, Robert (Nuilena) Garcia, Adam (Marcy) Garcia, Patrick Martinez, John Garcia, Joey Medina, and Bryce Balkey. Great nieces; Valorie (Rene) Pereyra, Antoinette (Nick) Torrez, Julie (Clarence) Herrera, Rachel (Luis) Araiza, Sara Garcia, and Serena Garcia. Two Godsons: Evan Bradley Garcia and Brandon Martinez. She is also survived by 19 great, great nephews and nieces.

A public visitation will begin on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory and the most holy Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on March 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh, burial will follow at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita.

Pallbearers include her three Great-Great nieces who she assisted in raising, Alexandria Quintana, Anjelika Garcia and Anika Garcia. Other pallbearers include Marcelina Garcia, Desiree Hall, Christine Garcia, Nuilena Garcia and Roberta Vigil.
