It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy “Tim” M. Martinez Sr., 39, of Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico. 

Tim was a cherished dad, husband, son, uncle, and friend. Who was called home way too soon on August 30th, 2026. Tim entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy with many humorous memories, laughter, and love.

Born on May 19th of 1987 to Timothy D. Martinez and Susie Cordova in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Alongside his sister Christina Cordova.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Tim knew just how incredibly giving he was. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tim was an amazing, hardworking, and humorous man who could always make you laugh with his sense of humor and one of his many crazy jokes. He had a way of bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. One of his all-time favorite sayings was, “More luck than brains!” Just one of the many phrases that perfectly captured his playful sense of humor and the way he never took himself too seriously.

Tim was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Tony and Ursula Cordova; paternal grandparents Eloy Martinez and Nadine Gallegos; his uncles Carl and Anthony Cordova; His uncle Danny Cordova and his close friend Erick Phillips.

He is survived by his wife Mary “Miss”Mora; his eldest son Timothy “Timmy” M. Martinez Jr.; his daughter Grace Mora; His amazing father Timothy D. Martinez and loving mother Suise Cordova; His sister Christina Cordova; His nieces and nephew Aliya Cordova (Mariana), Santana and Marco Audelo (Amaya) ; by his padrinos Floyd and Claudet Cordova; and his numerous family and friends.

We also wanted to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who has Tim and our family in this time of need.

Tim will be tremendously missed and will forever live on through his friends, family and especially through his two amazing kids who he loved and cherished. His memory will forever live on.

Tim will be transferred Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, from DeVargas Funeral Home at 3:30 pm. The Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. at his father’s home, located at 1186 Jackrabbit Trail.

Mass will be held on September 2nd, 2026, at the Saint John Church in Ohkay Owingeh at 8:00 am. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest, surrounded by his family, loved ones, and community. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in honoring his life, remembering the love he shared, and saying our final farewell.
