She was also a loving grandmother to Michael, Greg and wife Claudia, Ryan, Brennan, Landon, and Kaylyn and great grandmother to Janney, Oliver, and Lyonel. She then attended Highlands University to earn a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and taught kindergarten for over 30 years with the Espanola Schools. Thelma went on to earn her master’s degree in Bilingual Education and thoroughly enjoyed teaching young students during their formative years.
Thelma enjoyed traveling, cleaning her yard, yard sales, and visiting family. Thelma was an active member of the Embudo Presbyterian Church and a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Thelma recently indicated her satisfaction with her life, her many travels and the wonderful traveling experiences she had with family and friends.
