Tessie Martinez, age 80, from Chimayo, NM, passed away on October 3, 2021
Tessie is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Frances Padilla; in-laws Celsa and Toribio Martinez; husband Jose Lorenzo Martinez; sons Raymond, Carlos, Santiago, Tommy; and grandson Mario Trujillo.
She is survived by her children; Earl, Andrew, Dora, Bertha, and Lucas; daughter-in-laws; Vivian and Rhonda; sister-in-laws Lita Ortiz (Leroy); brothers-in-law Bobby Martinez (Elsie), Dennis Martinez; and the large extended Padilla family in Hernandez as well as 11 grandchildren as well as many siblings, nephews, and nieces.
Serving as pallbearers are: Earl Martinez Jr., Ezra Martinez, Carlene Martinez, Jessica Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Toribio Garcia, and Lucas Trujillo.
A viewing will be held on Thursday October 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at the DeVargas Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 with burial to follow at the Potrero Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.
