Terry Yvonne Martinez

Terry (Yvonne) Martinez, 66, a lifelong resident of La Villita, was called home to our Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2024. 

Terry was preceded in death by her parents Armando and Lena M. Sanchez of Los Luceros, in-laws Jose Aurelio and Virginia Aurelia Martinez of La Villita, sister-in-law Eva Lopez, brother-in-law Eloy Lopez, of Espanola, brother-in-law Albert Jimenez, sister-in-law Della Sanchez, brother-in-law Mavricio Sanchez, of Los Luceros and many other loved ones. 

Terry is survived by her husband, Paul A. Martinez; daughters; Lina A.Martinez (Juan), Aurelia Abre. Martinez (Jolen), Maria Vigil (Lorenzo), granddaughters; who were the love of her life, Alyssa Vigil, Alexandria Montoya, Alexis Montoya, Brooklyn Montoya, grandsons; who were also the love of her life, Royce Martinez, Tyler Vigil, Braylon Vigil, Josiah Montoya, Jolen Montoya, brothers; Louis Sanchez, Armando Sanchez (Linda), Johnny Sanchez (Annette), all of Los Luceros, sisters; Irene Trujillo (Vicente), Caroline Sanchez, Elsie Martinez (Michael), Tonita Chacon (Fedelino), all of Los Luceros, Nora Archuleta (Ruben) of Fairview, sister-in-law Lisa Redman (Paul), niece Colleen Lopez (Randy), all of La Villita and numerous relatives and friends.

We would especially like to thank all those for helping us care for our loved one. (Sister Elsie Matinez, Nieces Shirley Trujillo and Miquela Martinez).

Public Visitation will begin on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, NM, with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 am, with Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at the La Villita Cemetery. 

Serving as pallbearers are Juan Montoya, Jolen Montoya, Lorenzo Vigil, Tyler Vigil, Raymond Martinez, and Johnny Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons and granddaughters.
