Teresa Trujillo

Teresa Trujillo June 22, 1942 – June 10, 2025, It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teresa Trujillo of Medanales, NM.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Armando Trujillo; parents Pedro and Beróniz Garcia; grandson Ivan Trujillo; brothers Amado (Luisa), Abelino/Junior, Delfin (Virginia), Audoro, and sister Mary Salazar (Willie).

She is survived by son Oliver Trujillo; daughter Merna Romero (Dcn. Rick); granddaughter Amber Trujillo; great-grandchildren Erica, Amethyst, Lorenzo; brothers Rudy (Emily), Emilio (Martha), Roy (Geri) and Johnny (Lucy); sister Eufelia (Pedro) García; and sisters-in-law Pablita (Abelino) and Frances (Audoro); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Teresa was a beautiful soul. She loved to cook, bake, spend time with loved ones, and try her luck with the slots occasionally. She was the extended family matriarch and loved spoiling all those who were close to her. She had a quick wit and could always be found behind the laughter, usually instigating a joke. She loved to dance, do arts and crafts, and go camping. She was ready to go to the mountains to pick piñon. She was a great card player, a left, right, center champ, and a huge Denver Nuggets fan. If you told her you were going to visit her, she’d greet you with lots of homemade goodies, like enchiladas, posole, chile, tortillas, and fabulous pastelitos, empanaditas, and apple or cherry pies. She loved deeply and was loved in return, just as deeply. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

Services for Teresa Trujillo will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española, NM. Rosary to be recited at 11:30 am, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
