Sulema Romero

Sulema Romero, 86, a resident of Chimayo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was preceded in death her sister, Sabinita Duran and brothers, Orlando Rodriguez, Gilbert (Miles) Rodriguez, Isidoro Rodriguez, Jr Rodriguez, Vianes Rodriguez and Jesse Romero.

Sulema worked as a dietitian at the Espanola Hospital for 11 years. She was a Loving Wife, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Felipe; daughters, Patsy Nevares Romero, Betty Romero, Maryann Romero, Deanne Grant, Donna White and husband, George, Cindy (Cippie) Martinez and Boyfriend, Brian, sister-in-law Edna Duran; sons, Robert Rodriguez, Atanacio Romero, Stewart Scott, Damien Scott, Johnny Romero, Michael Romero and wife, Patricia.

Sulema was also dearly loved by her 31 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish in Chimayo with a burial to follow at Nuesta Senora de Carmel Cemetery.
