In our deepest sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Stephanie Ortega, 37, formally a resident of El Rito, NM, who unexpectedly left this world Friday, November 22, 2024. 

Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandfather Antonio Ortega, aunts Frances Sharp and Annabelle Ortega.

Stephanie is survived by her children Santana Alire, Senaida Vialpando, Lonisio “Ethan” Vialpando, Parents Wayne and Bernadette Vigil, Grandmother Reyes Ortega, Siblings: Olivia Cervantez, Denise Manning-Morales (Frankie), Stella Ortega, Jose Ortega (Nicole), Mario Ortega, Jesse Herrera, Samantha Herrera, Kady Vigil, Hunter Vigil (Avery), Brandon Kostishak (Erica), and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Stephanie always filled a room with her smile and infectious laughter. She loved spending time with her children and family. She enjoyed fishing, singing, taking drives, and listening to music.

Rest in peace, Steph, no more pain or sadness. You are loved by us all and you will be missed but never forgotten.
