Simon Martinez

Simon Martinez, 74, passed on April 15, 2023, peacefully surrounded by close family.  Simon was born in Sabinoso, NM.

Simon was preceded in death by his parents Navor and Ramoncita Martinez, sisters Susan and Frances, brothers Navor, Bingo, Cruz, George, Jose and Alfonso, step-sons Joseph and Alex.

Simon is survived by his beautiful wife Elaine Martinez; daughters Corine Martinez and Stephanie Sanchez; son Tim Rael; grandsons Richard, Jordan and Alex; granddaughter Unica Sanchez; great grandchildren Shanise Lopez, Fabian Martinez, Karla and Xela Martinez and Jerrica Jonson and Anthony; brother Mike; sisters Lupita and Dela, along with many nieces and nephews; his niece Connie who he considered a sister.

Simon was dedicated to his Harley Davidson rides.  He liked cruising all around New Mexico and the United States with his best friend and love of his life Elaine Martinez.  Simon explored all that he could, but his greatest days were being with his closest family and friends.  Simon loved all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He got great joy spending time with them all.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 10:00 am at Victory Faith Church in Espanola, NM.  A private burial will take place at a later date.
