Simon Christopher Jaramillo

Simon Christopher Jaramillo, 21, a resident of Chimayo, NM, passed away January 01, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Harry Martinez, maternal grandparents Ernesto and Flora Salazar, great grandmother Marina Lopez, paternal great grandparents Ernesto and Virginia Jaramillo, great grandmother Dora Martinez, Padrino Leon Martinez, cousin Bianca Sanders.

He is Survived by his mother Catrina Jaramillo, father Dwight Jaramillo (Felicia Montoya), stepmother Nohemi Gaytan, sister Alyssa Apodaca, brothers Amor Jaramillo, Alejandro Gaytan, and Alberto Gaytan, grandmothers Sandra Lopez, and Carlota Martinez, grandfather David Lopez, aunts Alejandra Lopez (Alex), Cassandra Delgado (James), Frieda Martinez (Richard), uncles David Lopez Jr, Jonathan Martinez (Deanica), God sister Jasmine Martinez, God daughter Abigal Martinez, God mother Shannon Martinez and many other aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.

Simon was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend to everyone he met. Simon worked with the Local Union I.B.E.W 611 and was apprentice electrician. Simon enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, and lowriders. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan Martinez, Alberto Gaytan, Amor Jaramillo, Nick Halford, Angel Acosta and Bobby Salazar.

A visitation will be held on Thursday January 12, 2023, at 6:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, in the Sangre De Cristo Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held January 13, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Holy Family Church in Chimayo, NM. Burial will follow at the Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.
