SELUSTRIANO GONZALES, 89, a resident of Gallina, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonefacio and Juanita Gonzales; father and mother-in-law David and Bernadita Romero; infant daughter, Frances Gonzales; stepson, Finiano Romero; brothers, Ramon (Elisaida) and Juan (Christina) Gonzales; sister, Romelia (Mariano) Salas; grandson, Luciano Valdez; brother-in-law, Isaac Herrera. Selustriano worked as a logger. He had a passion for the outdoors, hunting, hauling wood and riding horses. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Selustriano is survived by his loving wife, Amada Gonzales, of 59 years. Selustriano is survived by his beloved children, Mary Baldonado (Joel), Selustriano Jr. Gonzales (Lourie), Lorraine Gonzales (Randy), Debbie Rouse (Ronnie), Bonefacio Gonzales, Brenda Gonzales (Joseph), Bernadette Herrera (Robert), David Gonzales (Yodel), and Finiano Gonzales; step children, Petra Almieda (Rafael) and Miguel Lujan; special granddaughter raised as a daughter, Sonia Chacon; sister, Olympia Herrera; special cousin, Abel Gonzales; his beloved 35 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church in Gallina, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church in Gallina with a burial to follow at the Capulin Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be, David, Finiano and Daniel Gonzales, Lemuel Baldonado, Joseph Jr. Duran, and Alex Martinez, honorary pallbearers are Erik Rouse and Robert Jr. Herrera.
