Sandra Thompson of Espanola, NM (Ohkay Ohwingeh) passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. Born September 1, 1942 in Santa Fe, NM to Edward and Ruth Cata. She was a loving mother, wife, and sister. 

Sandra was preceded in death by Leroy Thompson (spouse), Desiree St. Onge (daughter), and Edward Tafoya (son).

Sandra is survived by two daughters, one son, and one sister Juanita Tafoya (John Tsdoole) of Espanola, NM, Cynthia Veatch (Mark Veatch) of Denver, CO, Anthony Tafoya (Eugenia) of Laurel. MS, and Patricia Sherwood (sister) of Albuquerque, NM. 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren,and many nieces and nephews, and cousins. 

 Funeral services have been held.
