In Loving Memory of Sandra (Sandy) Jean Dill

Sandra Jean Dill, affectionately known as Sandy, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with an illness. Surrounded by her beloved family, she was called home to be with her Heavenly Father.

Sandy was born on January 20, 1950, in Washington State and spent her childhood in Port Angeles. Throughout her life, she embodied faith, strength, and a resilient spirit that left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She lived her life with unwavering love for her family, always putting others first and offering a helping hand wherever it was needed. Her deep devotion to God was evident in every aspect of her life, and she instilled in her family the importance of faith, love, and kindness. Sandy eagerly looked forward to the day she would be reunited with her Lord in Heaven.

Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Forest, who passed away three years ago. She is survived by her sister, Robin Dill, and brother, Rick Dill. She leaves behind four cherished daughters: Erica and Able Espinoza, Angela Fresquez and Michael Padilla, Railena Snider and Raymond Lopez, and Ashley Snider and Isaiah Vigil. Additionally, Sandy was a loving stepmother to eight stepchildren from previous marriages: Michael, Mark, Nina, Marty, and Stacy Fresquez, and Jennifer and Randy Snider.

Sandy’s legacy lives on in her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy: Justin and Marrisa Martinez, Miguel Ciddio, Layla Martinez, Jasmin Ciddio, Aaron Espinoza, Andrew and Andrea Padilla, Naveah and Estrella Espinoza, and Zayden Vigil. She was also a devoted great-grandmother to seven precious little ones, who filled her heart with love and laughter.

A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Convento Parish, located on the Plaza in Espanola, NM. The family invites all who knew and loved Sandy to join them in honoring her memory and the remarkable life she lived.
