Sandra Lopez

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sandra Lopez, known to most as Sandy on Thursday, July 1, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Sandy will always be remembered for her kind spirit, giving heart and genuine personality. Sandy was always willing to lend a helping hand and expected nothing in return. She enjoyed making jewelry and could often be found at art fairs selling her jewelry, talking about her grandchildren and making new friends. If you were lucky enough to cross paths with Sandy you will forever be touched with a warm, loving person who will be greatly missed.

Sandy was proceeded in death by her father Joe Lopez, mothers Consuelo and Constance Lopez, Grandson Blaise Lopez, brothers Leon Guerin and Ray Lopez. She is survived by sons Jonathan Lopez (Martina), Travis Smith (Raeanna), siblings Patricia Tate (Charles), Mike Guerin (Bertha), Aurelius Lopez (Melanie), Benny Lopez (Anna), Condra Lafreniere (Terry) and sister-in-law Joyce Guerin, grandchildren RaeLee, Donte, and TeddieRae Smith and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Light House Church in Chimayo. A rosary will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. also at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada.
