Sandra Gene Cordova

It is with immense sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother Sandra Cordova, 60, of Chimayo, New Mexico, on April 12, 2024.  

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother Sarita Vega-Cordova, father Alfonzo Cordova, brother, Alfonso Cordova Jr.. and son Bruce D. Mondragon. 

Sandra is survived by her children, Jolene, and Allen Romero, Waldy Mondragon (Julia), Grandchildren, Kevin Martinez Jr. (Vanessa), Jaydon Romero, Justice, Waldy Jr. the 3rd., Juanito, Santiago, Esperanza Mondragon, Monte, and Adrianna Maes. Great Grandchild, Emily Martinez and numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Sandra was known to be a very generous person when she was able. She never showed up to your home empty handed. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially the mountains and just loved to drive wherever the road would take her. She really loved her family, especially her mother, children, and all grandchildren dearly. 

 The family extends our most sincere expressions of gratitude to all generous hearts for their fervent prayers for our beloved mom Sandra. 

 A rosary will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Holy Family Church in Chimayo, with a mass to follow at 2:00 pm and burial to follow at Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo.
