With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather Salome Roybal, who lived a remarkable 96 years. He was a proud Korean War Veteran, and a hardworking man whose life was defined by dedication, perseverance, and a love for family.
At a young age, he answered the call to serve his country during the Korean War, proudly serving the United States Military. His service reflected the courage, strength, and sense of duty that would remain with him throughout his life.
Following his military service, he began a long and dedicated career as a truck driver for Navajo Freight which then became ABF Freight, where he worked faithfully for 38 years before retiring. Never one to sit idle for long, he continued serving his community by becoming a school bus driver, where he retired after 20 years.
More than his years of service and hard work, he will be remembered for the life he built, the family he loved, and the legacy he leaves behind. He was a man of another generation, one who understood the value of hard work, sacrifice, and keeping his word. His life was an example of strength and the lessons he taught will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and future generations. He will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
May he rest in eternal peace. He will forever be loved, remembered, and missed.
