Rudy "Puff" Age-53 Gallina Maestas

Rudy “Puff” Maestas, 53, a lifelong resident of Gallina, NM passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. He was a parishioner of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina. He loved horses, ranching and taking long walks. Rudy enjoyed the company of his friends, family and especially his daughter, Pumpkin. He was a quiet man who enjoyed his privacy and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; brother, Richard Jr.; grandmother, Albinita Maestas; niece, Shyla Hawkins. Mr. Maestas is survived by his mother, Reducinda “Rose” Maestas; daughter, Kathleen Cordova; mother of his child, Bernadette Gonzales; brothers: Marshall, Joseph, Pete, and Brian Maestas all of Gallina; sisters: JoAnn Valdez and husband Delano of Alcalde, Doris Hawkins and husband Leldon of Farmington and Belinda and husband Abe Tapia of San Juan; nephews: Michael Tapia, Shawn Hawkins, Brian Maestas Jr. and Richard Maestas; great-niece, Miquela Tapia. Public visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina with burial to follow at Capulin Cemetery in Capulin with the following serving as pallbearers: Marshall Maestas, Abe and Michael Tapia, Leldon and Shawn Hawkins and Elmin Gallegos.
