Rudolph A Fernandez (Rudy), born December 1, 1951, a lifelong resident of Hernandez, passed away peacefully at home April 4, 2024.
He was married to Annette Fernandez and blessed with two daughters, Vanessa de Leon and Bernadette Romero.
Upon retiring from LANL, Rudy and his wife Annette opened and operated La Tiendita de Paz Religious store in Hernandez for over 10 years. He was known as a hard worker. He was most proud of being a family man.
Rudy was a devout Catholic and active member at San Juan Bautista Parish in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo where he was a 4thdegree Member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father Alfredo Fernandez Sr. and his in laws Jose and Dolores Rodriguez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years of marriage, Annette. His daughters, Vanessa De Leon and Husband Carlos of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bernadette Romero and husband Michael of Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren whom he cherished. Adrian, Eliana, Diego and Jasiel. He is also survived by his mother Annabelle Fernandez, Brother: Alfredo Jr and wife Berna Fernandez, sisters: RubyAnn Villareal and husband Charlie, Joanie Fernandez and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
Rosary will be Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:30 AM at San Juan Bautista and TEWA Missions Parish and Funeral to follow at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception to follow burial at San Juan Parish Hall.
