Ross Ortega

Ross Ortega, age 89, a resident of Hernandez NM, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2020.  Ross was preceded in death by his parents Federico and Adelida Ortega. Brother Fred (Lico) Ortega, Sisters, Annie Garcia, Margie Graham and Cordelia Trujillo.

Ross is survived by his brother, Orlando Ortega (Ernestina), and sister Julia Garcia.  Also, a special niece Linda Padilla whom he loved like a daughter.

Ross was employed by Duke City Lumber as night watchman for 25 years.  Ross was loved by so many.  He was a man of integrity and honor.  Anyone that met him, immediately fell in love with him.  Ross enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and neighbors. He will surely be missed.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Cornelio Sanchez, Federico Garcia, Tony Garcia, David (Garci) Garcia, Luis Pena, Larry Trujillo and Ben Ortiz.  Honorary pallbearers are Carol Duran, Denise Garcia, Peter Trujillo, Miracle Angel Herrera, Hope Herrera, Aubree Garcia, and David Garcia III.

The family would like to thank De Corazon Hospice, Options- caretakers Theresa Trujillo & Maria Andrade and his nephew David Garcia for taking care of him.
