Obituary

It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of our dearly beloved Rosina Jacquez, age 82, of Santa Cruz NM, passed away peacefully on July 08, 2026 following a lengthy illness. Throughout her journey, she showed immense grace and strength. She is now at rest, free from pain, and forever in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Feliz Lujan. Sons Daniel, Bert and Joseph Jacquez. Grandsons Valentin Jacquez and Nicholas Chacon. Sister Donella Griego (Tony) and Brother Dennis Lujan. Daughter-in-law Isabel Jacquez. Sister-in-law Emma Morfin, Brother-in-law John Griego and Parents-in-law Julian and Dolores Jacquez.

Born on March 04, 1944 in Espanola, NM, she was the daughter of the late Leopoldo and Feliz Lujan.

More than anything, Rosina loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and Aunt. Rosina was best known for her passion, kindness, loving caring nature to all her family and friends. Her home was always open, and her heart was even larger. Rosina’s favorite hobby was to crochet and embroidery, she worked as a cook for the McCurdy School.

She is survived by her loving husband Eloy Jacquez her children Geraldine Jacquez-Trujillo and husband Leonard, Eloy Jacquez and wife Brenda, Larry Jacquez and wife Berlinda and Orlando Jacquez Sr. and companion Debra, Her cherished grandchildren, Bianca, Heaven and Miranda Trujillo, Julian Martinez, Orlando Jr. Jacquez, Daniel Ray, Justin, Tiana and Mia Jacquez, Dolores Vasquez, and Joseph Jr. Jacquez Steven and Crystal Trujillo and 15 great grandchildren; Sister Tonita Garcia and husband Clyde and Brother Alfonso Lujan. Sister-in-law Julia Griego. Daughter-in-law Juanita Martinez and Debbie Jacquez, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
