Rosalie Maria Baca

Rosalie Maria Baca, age 73, a resident of Chimayo, NM passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Anjelika Maria Baca; mother, Celina Mascarenas; father, Marcelo Romero; brother Johnny Mascarenas & Rubel Romero; In-laws Claudio and Leonardita Baca; grandparents, Louis and Profidia Zamora; aunt and uncle, Carmen and Max Gallegos; as well as many other relatives.

Rosalie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who had a heart of gold. She was always helping people. She will be remembered for her loving, kind smile and talkative nature. She cared for her children and grandchildren to the fullest and would do anything for them. She adored her loving pets, Bella, Wynter, Meya, Journey and Luna.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, Joe Baca; children, Annette (Pedro), Joanna (Gary), Rubel (Carla); grandchildren, Louie (Jessica), Anthony, Ryan (Marisa), Lynette (Chris), Angelo (Kassandra), Alexandra; great grandchildren, Damien, Jayden, Anjelika, Dannikah, Deshawn, Dakotah, and Alexis; as well as numerous brothers Jacob (Celina), Leroy (Oralia), Jessie (Dorothy), Jacinto and Willie (Helen), sisters MaryAlice, Marylou, Angie, Carol and Mary Pauline, nieces, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Public visitation will begin on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 5:00 pm in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM, with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM. Burial will follow at the Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren Louie, Anthony, Ryan, Lynette, Angelo and Alexandra.
