Roman Martinez Sr. passed away September 17, 2026. He was raised in Cordova, NM. He then moved to spend most of his life as a resident of Norwalk, CA. He returned back to New Mexico 8 years ago.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Dolores Martinez;  two sons Vincent Martinez and Charles Martinez; parents Gelasia and Vicente Martinez; brothers Jose Rufino, Amarante. Miguel, Benino and Ovaldo Martinez; sisters Teresita and Olivama Martinez.

He is survived by his son Roman Martinez Jr, (Patricia), grand daughters Lena Martinez-Rios (Richard), Jennifer Martinez (Jimmy), Bernadette Montez (Larry), Dolores Martinez and Angel Martinez; He is survived by his great grandson, best friend and Caretaker Roman (Ray) Navarro.

His great grandchildren Sal (Julie), Mariah, Mariza, Marina, Ruben, Benny, Destiny (Derek), Bernard, Jimmy, Jazzy, Richie, Vinny, Larry, Gabriel, Gracie, Angelina (Isaiah), Donavine and Max Jr. And his great-great grandchildren Averie, Maddy, Lily, Elena and Akira. His sisters Eusevia Quesada and Benerita Martinez. His brother Mel Martinez (Jeri) And a very large amount of nieces and nephews, whom he loved joyously and happily. As he did with all of his family.

He is also survived by his fellow Hermanos of the Cordova Morada Penitentes.
