Roger Vigil Jr.

Roger Vigil Jr, 46, a resident of Chimayo, NM, passed away in a car accident. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Santiago and Emma Trujillo, paternal grandparents; Dominico and Eleanor Vigil, uncles; Steve, Jimmy (Perry), Abenansio, Luis (Jerry) Trujillo, and Flavio Fresquez, cousins; Darrell and Jackie Trujillo.

Roger was a master barber and loved sharing his cooking skills he had learned in culinary school. He was kind, caring, loving and always had a smile on his face. He always went out of his way to help anyone he could, even if that meant he went without.

He is survived by his fiancé, Sharon Medina Canderlario; step-children; Monique, Adam, and Julianna Canderlario; his mother; Debra Vigil (Apolinar); father Roger Vigil Sr (Teresa); sisters Adrina and Sarah Vigil; nieces; Ashley Amaya and Alyssa Vigil-Miranda,  Emma Sandoval; great-neice Ava Herrera and Ella Martinez; nephews Matthew Ray Vigil, Xavier Vigil-Miranda, and Andrew Arroyo; great nephews Santiago Vigil and Roman Martinez; uncles Lee Trujillo (Orlina), Nelson Trujillo (JoAnna), and Marvin Vigil (Dorothy); aunts Susie Trujillo, Betty Fresquez, Sally Vasquez (Pete), Lorraine Romero (Joe); cousins Brenda, Jeremy, Cody Fresquez and Jeremiah Vaughn; cousins whom he considered sisters Kassandra Trujillo, Deserae Trujillo, Michelle and Tracy Fresquez; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A Rosary will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1:00 pm and Mass to follow on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM. Burial to follow at the Nuestra de Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are all his nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
