Roberto Gonzales

Roberto Gonzales Jr., 62, of Canoncito, NM, passed away on March 28, 2024, from a pulmonary embolism.

Roberto was preceded in death by his father Roberto Gonzales, mother Carol Herrera Martinez, grandparents Antonio and Eloisa Herrera who raised him, and numerous other relatives.  

Roberto is survived by his son Joshua Baca, sisters Cindy Martinez, Loretta Gonzales, Annamaria Gonzales, Rebecca Gonzales and Louise Gonzales, brothers Manuel Gonzales and Daniel Gonzales. He was raised with two uncles who were like his older brothers Frank and Lawrence Herrera. He was also close to his aunt Lillian Herrera and uncle Max Quintana and their children Max Jr., Monica and Michael Quintana.  Roberto has many surviving family and friends. 

Roberto was a commercial painter.  He enjoyed staying busy and loved his life and he was a believer in karma.  Roberto also was a Christian.  Roberto loved to play his guitar and he loved all types of music (Spanish, rock & roll, etc).

A Public Viewing will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM.
