Robert - Age 53 - Tierra Azul - Salas

ROBERT M. SALAS 53, a resident of Ojo Caliente and Tierra Azul passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011. Robert was born on November 26, 1957 to Felix and Frances Salas in Salt Lake City, Utah. He loved to cook food for everyone he had a big heart. If he had something to say it would be for the best and he always spoke his mind but always put others before himself. He wanted the best and loved his grandchildren so much. He was a very strong person and always made us realize right from wrong. He loved hunting with old friends and hauling wood. No matter how far we went he did what he had to, to bring us home. He loved us all so much no matter where we were at. He cherished his grandkids and loved it when they were all around. He fought with us girls so we would grow up to be tough. He let us know that there is nobody better than our daddy. Mr. Salas is survived by his wife, Clara Salas; children, Davinia Pinto, Felix Salas, Natasha, Robert, Shadow and Felicia Salas; brothers, Paul Archuleta and wife Bernice and Oliver Archuleta and wife Mary Ann; sister, Adelaida Jaramillo and husband Simon; grandchildren, Tionne, Jasmine, Dominic, Anthony, Shadow, Richard and Isaiah and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Ojo Caliente Cemetery.
