RICARDO B. PADILLA, 85, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Anita Padilla; sons, Isaac and Ronald Padilla; brothers, Frank and Andy Padilla, sisters, Sinforosa Salazar and Olga Martinez. Ricardo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who loved to spend time with his family. He had a witty sense of humor always making everyone laugh. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army; he was a commander of the American Legion Post 65 in Chimayo. Ricardo will be dearly missed. Ricardo is survived by his wife of 62 years, Christina Padilla; children, Rick, Rupert and Robert (Monica) Padilla; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Mabel) Padilla, sister, Clorinda (Louis) Ludi; sister-in-law, Gloria Padilla, and numerous relatives and friends whom he loved dearly. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Robert, Ricky, Rupert, Robert Jr., Marcos and Edward Padilla. The family of Ricardo B.
