Raymond David Pacheco, age 49, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 10, 2017. Raymond - born in Los Alamos on July 20, 1967, is the son of Ida Serna Pacheco and the late Epimenio Anthonio Pacheco.
Ray is survived by his loving mother and his wife Mary. He also leaves behind his siblings; Manuel of Los Alamos, Johnny and his wife Debbie of Farmington, Helen Borrego and her husband James of Santa Fe, Vivian Harper and her husband Dana of Boise, Idaho and Marie Scorcia and her husband Robert of Los Alamos. He is also survived by his nieces; Jessica, Kyla and Carmella and his nephew Jason - who all adored their “Uncle Ray”.
Ray graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1985 and continued his education at New Mexico State University, where he earned a double degree in Finance and Economics. Ray’s true interest, though, was computers and technology. His amazing knowledge and ability with computers intersected every aspect of his employment; the Supreme Court, Municipal Court, NM Corrections Industries, Los Alamos National Labs and finally as IT for the Los Alamos Medical Center. Ray was an avid motorcyclist. He was very well liked and formed a bond with everyone he met. He will surely be missed - as he made an impact many peoples’ lives.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017, 11:00am at 702 Bishop’s Lodge Road in Santa Fe, NM. A private interment will be held on a later date.
