It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Randy Roybal as he was called home on Tuesday April 6, 2021. Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pablo and Julia Roybal and Armando and Celia Archuleta; uncle, Robert Rivera; cousin, Stephanie Castaneda and father-in-law, Tommy M. Martinez. He was born on June 19, 1982 to Henry I. and Amelia Roybal. Randy was a very caring and loving father, son, uncle, brother, grandson nephew, cousin and friend. Anybody that knew Randy realized he was very giving of his time helping in any way that he could. He helped family and friend with construction projects and mechanic work and was always willing to be there. Randy loved spending time with his family and friends especially his 3 children. He was very fond of spending time in the outdoors with family and friends and had aspirations and planned on fishing and camping this summer with his children and family.  Randy played semi-pro football for the New Mexico Hornets and served as a youth leader at the Lighthouse in Chimayo and had a never-ending love for God. Randy loved making people laugh and playing practical jokes.  That being said, Randy was very deeply loved as he loved everyone he knew. Randy attended Pojoaque High school where he graduated in 2000. He went on to attend college at New Mexico State and UNM. He worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a guard and then as a technician for the last 15 years. He was very well respected for his work ethic and professionalism. He is survived by, Stephanie Roybal; his children, Caleb, Emily and Nathan Roybal; parents, Henry I. and Amelia Roybal; brothers and sister, Henry P. (Marlene), and Phillip and Daniel Roybal; nephews and nieces, Amber, Alyssa, Josiah and Henry P. Roybal Jr., Joshua, J’lee Roybal, Daniel Ray Roybal Jr., Ezra Martinez and a vast amount of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Randy held a special place in all of our hearts and will be missed as he leaves a void that cannot be filled. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at New Creations Church in Espanola, with a burial to follow at the El Rancho Cemetery.
