Ramon - Age 85 - Española - Naranjo

Ramon B. Naranjo, 85, was carried by the angels to meet the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. He was a long life resident of Guachupangue Heights. Ramon, a World War II veteran, served in the US Army and retired from the State Corporation Commission in 1984. He was a good husband and father. He expressed his love of others by his friendly, generous and humorous nature. He was unique in his compassion and deep nurturing love for children. He was self-educated, read many books and articles, studied the Bible and inspired others in the Christian faith. He loved music, especially Mexican music and was an accomplished guitar player. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ramon and Mary Naranjo; sons, Reynaldo and Jesse Naranjo and son-in-law, Daniel Dunsworth. Mr. Naranjo is survived by his loving wife, Stella; children, Michael Naranjo and wife Gloria, Mariquita Garcia and husband Milo, Gail Bell of Arizona and Roberta Dunsworth; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters; Richard Naranjo and wife Lucille, Orlando Naranjo and wife Gay, Margie Montoya and husband Tony, Viola Suazo and husband Joseph and numerous other relatives and friends. A devotional service will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at The Rock Christian Fellowship Church. Funeral service to commemorate his life will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at The Rock Christian Fellowship Church. Burial will follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following grandsons serving as pallbearers, Jeffery Naranjo, Neil Duda, James Scott, Jesus Naranjo, Frankie Cerezo and Julian Chavez. Honorary pallbearers; Javier Naranjo, Jordan Vigil, Henry James Cobos, James Martinez, Daniel Arellano, Duke Bell, Ryan Henrie and Stacy Henrie. A reception meal following internment at about 2:00 p.m. A special thanks to everyone who took part in his care. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to cancer charities of your choice. The family of Ramon B. Naranjo has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Española Valley.
