Petrita Valdez

Petrita B. Valdez, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Nambé surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rogelio Valdez; her parents, Fidencio and Juanita Baca; daughters, Mary Lou (Irvin "Buzz") Stout, Juanita Valdez, and her brother, Patricio Baca.  She is survived by her sons Nazario (Consuelo) Manuel (Judy) Lipio (Fabie), her daughters Lillian Soto, Grace Romero (Florencio), Olivia Trujillo (Joe), Martha Valdez (Andy), Lisa Hernandez (Sergio), her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, godchildren, her sisters, Josefita Romero and Corina (Julian) Gomez, her sister in law Claudia Montoya. Public visitation will begin on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a burial to follow at the Nambe Cemetery. Serving the family as Pallbearers, Edward, Paul Anthony Valdez, Joey Trujillo, Alvaro Soto, Florencio Romero, Jr. and Matthew Stout.

A special thank you David Roybal, her caregiver, whom she considered another grandson, for his kindhearted and compassionate care.
