Perfy Maestas

PERFY MAESTAS, 84, a resident of Espanola, was called up to Heaven to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was born on January 13, 1936 to Tomas and Francesquita Maestas.  She was a sibling of six sisters and three brothers.  Perfy was preceded in death by her parents Tomas and Francesquita Maestas.  Brothers; Manuel Maestas, Adan Maestas, and Tomas (Junior) Maestas. Sisters; Teddie Valdez, Ester Maestas, Susana Leyba, Corina Garcia, and Laura Garcia; special nieces Erika Mendez and April Maestas and special nephews Kenneth Garcia and Anthony David Valdez.

Perfy is survived by her sister Odelia Maestas, special nephew Manuel (Brooks) Maestas, Jose Sotelo and Justin Valdez, special niece Annette Valdez; special friends Mickey Vigil and Betty Martinez and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Perfy worked at Sacred Heart Parish for many years.  She loved to go to church and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed going to the casino.

Serving as pallbearers Manuel (Brooks) Maestas, Jose Sotelo, Justin Valdez, Anthony Valdez, Carlos Valdez and Francisco Garcia.

The family would like to thank Casa Rael/Genesis Nursing Home for the care they provided.

Due to COVID restrictions and keeping everyone safe, no public services will be held. The family of Perfy Maestas has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
