Pauline Maestas

Pauline Maestas of El Duende passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on March 20, 2022.

She was born November 1, 1950, to Dennie and Amada Martinez. She married her soul mate, Rudy, and shared 52 wonderful years. Pauline was loving, caring, and graceful. She gave selflessly and was always willing to help others. She loved spending time with her family, watching her granddaughters play sports and working in her flower gardens.

Pauline was preceded in death by herson Dennis Maestas, granddaughter Valerie Chavez, parents, Dennie and Amada Martinez, in-laws Jose and Ruth Baca, brother-in-law Frank Baca and sister-in-law Emily Casias.

She is survived by her husband, Rudy Maestas, daughter Andrea Romero, son Miguel Romero, grandchildren: Sarah Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Nicole Romero, Meranda Romero, and Veronica Maestas. Great Granddaughters: Myah Chavez, Alana Chavez, Laila Chavez and Emilia Martinez. Sister Mary Toni Chacon (Carlos), Brother-in-law, Louie Maestas (Pearl), Sister-in-laws: Marie Valencia (Frank) and Laura Vasquez (Eddie) and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.

Services for Pauline will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022.  A rosary will be prayed at 11:30am with a funeral mass at 12pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Espanola, followed by burial at San Jose Cemetery of Hernandez.
