On January 20, 2022, we were left to cherish only the loving memories of Paul A. Trujillo, 47. After a long and courageous battle Paul succumbed to his liver disease and Covid. Paul was raised in the Pojoaque Valley where he attended Pojoaque Valley Schools and graduated with the class of 1992, he then attended UNM LA. After a year of that he joined the United States Navy. He was so proud of his accomplishments.
Once again he came home and tried UNM, then CNM but school was not for him. He joined the carpenters apprenticeship program but finally got his CDL license and ended up as a heavy equipment operator. This is what he was doing when his sickness took over his life.
Paul was an only child and is survived by his loving parents, Pablo (Paul) and Mabel Trujillo. His son Paul Ray, Daughter Gillian and young son Colten Trujillo. The above individuals were the loves of his life. He was so proud of his kids and always cherished the short time they had together. Paul was so excited when one of his kids reached out to him.
He is also survived by his grandfather, Ray Roybal of Jaconita, his auntie Rebecca Naranjo (Frank). Auntie Becs was his go to gal, they had a special bond. His godparents Mary Ann Trujillo (and the late Billy Trujillo) and his godfather Robert (Bobby) Garcia. Paul is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and very special friends. These people are too many to mention by name but Paul loved each one for a different reason.
Paul was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and true love, Eliria Roybal and paternal grandparents Jose S. and Ida Trujillo.
Paul was full of life, he loved fishing, camping, dancing, sports. He loved his 49ers and his Lakers and would argue with you over each game, whether they won or lost. Paul wore his worn Navy cap proudly, he loved being an American who served his country.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Debbie Garcia Martinez, Richard Lujan, Francine Desmond, Billy Ortiz, Ben Ray Lujan, and Kris Spinks.
