Paul Sandoval

July 30, 1972 – November 2, 2022

Paul Sandoval, beloved son, brother, uncle and grandpa, 50, of Hernandez, NM passed away on November 2, 2022.

Paul is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jose Benito and Vickie Madrid, his paternal grandparents Remigio and Juanita Sandoval, his father Willie Sandoval, sister Erline Perez, brother Rudy Sandoval, nephew Anthony Sandoval, uncles Alex and Armando Madrid and aunt Cleo Madrid.

Paul is survived by his significant other Vangie Montoya, daughters Amber Sandoval of Hernandez, Angelica Sandoval (Andrew) of Chimayo, Jessica Sandoval and James Petty, both of Alamogordo, grandchildren Heavenly, Manuel, Ryla, Avelia, Anita, Andrea and Aubrey.  Paul is also survived by his mother Velma Carmargo (Lawrence), brother Willie Sandoval (Sherry), brother Ben Sandoval (Renee) and their children Benjamin, Brandon and Janessa, sister Stella Carmargo (Jeremy) and Paul’s niece Angel Carmargo.  Surviving uncles and aunts Ida Madrid, Alfred Madrid (Tina), Angie Herrera, Lee Madrid (Irene), Toby Madrid (Jane), Harold Madrid (Edith), two of Paul’s special friends Lawrence Martinez and Miguelito Lujan and numerous cousins and friends. 

Serving as Pallbearer’s are Willie Sandoval, Ben Sandoval, Lawrence Martinez, Jeremy Julliet, Anthony Sanchez, Chapo Escobero and Angel Banuelos. 

Paul enjoyed working on his yard and was very proud of his yard being so clean, along with being a mechanic and doing construction work.

A Private Viewing will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM from 9 am to 9:30 am, followed by a Public Viewing from 9:30 am to 10 am.  A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11:30 am at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez, NM, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 12 pm.  Burial will be held at the San Jose Catholic cemetery in Hernandez.
