PAUL HAROLD MEDINA, 60, a resident of Chimayo, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was preceded in death by his grandson, David Trujillo, Jr.; brothers, Tommy and Pancho Medina; father and mother-in-law, Willie and Susana Duran and his maternal and paternal grandparents. \\He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He had a loving and generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting with friends. He had a passion for low-rider cars and mechanical work. He worked in Los Alamos for 20 years. Mr. Medina is survived by his wife of 42 years, Annabelle Medina of Chimayo; daughters, Paula and companion David of Chimayo and Tammie and fiancé Dennis of Española; grandchildren, Miranda Trujillo of Chimayo, Brandy and Damian of Española; parents, Paul and Mary Medina of Chimayo; sisters, Georgia Romero and husband Henry of Santa Fe, Olivia Trujillo and husband Roy of Pojoaque and Janet Rodriguez and husband Carlos of Española; nieces and nephews, Renee, Regina, Monica, Rey-Lynn, Justina, Reyna, Daniel and Joaquin; sisters-in-law, Angela Vigil and husband Manuel of Chimayo and Renee Medina of Española; God-daughters, Janet Romero, Jessica Vigil and Mary-Jo DeAguero all of Chimayo; very special aunt, Kazy Roman; good friend and neighbor, “Stoney” Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Potrero Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Manuel Vigil, Dennis Chavez, Roy Trujillo, Carlos Rodriguez, Peter Velarde and Darrell Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers named are; David Trujillo, Dennis Gallegos and “Stoney” Martinez.
