Patrick Villareal

d. February 17, 2021

PATRICK LEE VILLAREAL, 50, a resident of Espanola, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gabby and Patricio Villareal; his sister, Patricia brother, Dion. He Leaves behind a loving family band memory of a man known as husband, father and friend to many.  Its impossible to sum up the whole of Patrick’s life in a few paragraphs, he was man of many stories, and even if they could all be gathered here, the written word can’t possible capture his art of storytelling. He was born May 31, 1970 in Colorado, but lived his life in the Espanola Valley, there and in the northern mountains.

Patrick was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Patrick was raised with a large extended family nearby. Patrick had a greeting for everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had the ability to fix almost anything, many times with only sheer determination and a screwdriver.

Football season was blue and orange for Patrick, and he spent the NFL Season cheering or screaming at the Denver Broncos, depending on the score, next to his wife DeeDee and his consentida Keisha. When the Broncos weren’t playing and he was working, he loved fishing and hunting with his brother, Doyle. He met Deeancee in 2008, and two years later on May 7, 2010 Patrick received a “Life sentence” from Judge Mike J. Vigil when he pronounced Patrick and Deeancee man and wife. He gained two children that day James Garcia and Keisha Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Deeancee; children, Keisha and James; brother Doyle (Antoinette) of Espanola; sister-in-law, Brenda Alire; nieces, Ashley Miera (Pancho), Candice Rivera (Tony), great nieces, Adalyn, Eliana, and his great-nephew, Aaron.

Patrick was always willing to listen and offer advice a skill he passed on to Keisha who learned from his life experiences, as did many others. The family of Patrick Lee Villareal has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477-www.devargasfuneral.com
