Pablo Zamora Resident of Española, New Mexico Age 72 Date of Death: June 8, 2026 Pablo Zamora, age 72, a resident of Española, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. 

Pablo was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, and will be remembered for his unwavering faith, strong work ethic, independent spirit, and deep devotion to his family.

 Preceded in Death By Pablo was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Elena Castillo de Zamora, who passed away seventeen years ago, and by his beloved grandson, Eric Alejandro Castillo.

 Employment, Family History, Organizations, and Memberships Pablo dedicated many years of service as a Custodian at the Española Hospital, where he was known for his hard work, discipline, and commitment to helping others. A man of strong Christian faith, he found comfort in prayer and enjoyed attending services at El Santuario, often accompanying his partner to church and participating in religious activities. Pablo enjoyed spending time outdoors, taking nature walks, driving through the mountains, and occasionally visiting the casino. Above all, he treasured time spent with family and friends. Though he entered the lives of many as a stepfather and step-grandfather, his family never viewed him as anything less than a father and grandfather. He willingly embraced that role with love, guidance, and support, helping raise and care for his family without hesitation. His generosity and dedication touched the lives of many, and his legacy will continue through those who were fortunate enough to know and love him. Survived By Pablo is survived by his loving partner, Tamara Sanchez; his daughters, Maribel Castillo and Marisela Terrazas; his grandchildren, César Castillo, Carlos Arras Castillo, Jairo Arras Castillo, Selena Arras, Thanya L. Terrazas, Perla Y. Terrazas, Vianey Y. Terrazas, and Jaime E. Terrazas; 1 along with numerous additional grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends. The family finds comfort knowing that Pablo is reunited with his beloved wife, Maria Elena, and his grandson, Eric Alejandro. While his passing leaves an immense void, his memory, wisdom, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind. 

Service Information Funeral services for Pablo Zamora will begin at 5:00 p.m., departing from DeVargas Funeral Home, 623 N. Railroad Avenue, Española, New Mexico 87532. Religious services and family remarks will take place at the Alcalde United Methodist Church Cemetery, located adjacent to the church property at Co Rd 144, Ohkay Owingeh, NM 87566, under the cemetery canopy area, followed by burial.

Pallbearers Pallbearers will include Jaime Terrazas, Carlos Arras, Carlos Arras Castillo, César Castillo, and additional family members and friends who will accompany the family in honoring Pablo’s life. The Zamora, Terrazas, Castillo, and Sanchez families extend their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, love, support, and condolences received during this difficult time. Pablo Zamora will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
