Pablo Garcia also known to many as Jesse, was born September 10, 1941 in El Paso, Texas to Herman Garcia & Virginia Martinez and went to be with the Lord August 18, 2025 surrounded by friends and family. At the age of 4 he moved to Fruita, Colorado. When he was 6 he moved to Coyote, New Mexico to be raised by his Grandma Isa (Ida) Martinez and step grandfather Jose Martinez.

As an adult, Jesse spent many years in Slaton, Texas where made many friends and was a member of Lone Star Cowboy Church. This is where he met close and dear friends Roy Goble (Sharron), Silvia Elizalde (his provider) both of Slaton, Texas & Cathy Jewell Long of KSSL Radio. He enjoyed listening to this station and made every radio promotion he could. He and his best friend Roy would accompany each other to Dr. Appointments, radio promotions and lunches at their favorite restaurant.

Four years ago, his niece Claudette and her husband John decided it was time to move him closer to family and settled him into his residence in Santa Cruz, New Mexico where he would spend the remainder of his life. Jesse being the friendly guy he is, quickly found the local Senior Center. This is where he formed a tight bond with Director Johanna Toledo and her husband Edwin Lujan. These two would assist in caring for him when Claudette and John went on trips. He also formed a relationship with Espanola Mayor John Ramon Vigil. He would call his niece excited and tell her that he talked to the Mayor today and would show her the pins and coins he gave him Soon after visiting the Senior Center he was appointed as a committee member. He would assist with several activities around the center but really enjoyed BINGO Days.

He was also a devoted member of Valley Bible Baptist Church in Arroyo Seco. He loved going to game night and playing Skipo with other members of the church. He considered the members of the church as part of his family and would talk very highly of them. He enjoyed his trips to Truchas with the men’s group.
