Orlinda Medina Chimayo Griffin

Orlinda Medina Griffin, a resident of Chimayo passed away after a short illness on Saturday, July 30, 2011. She was a very giving person which showed through her contributions to different charitable organizations around the world. She traveled all over the world. Orlinda was a very loving person with a big heart, who cared and loved everyone. She was preceded in death by her father, Luis Medina; mother, Sofia Sandoval; brother, Levi Medina; sister, Merlene Candelaria. Orlinda is survived by her sister, Bernina Medina of Albuquerque; brother, Arturo Medina and wife Annie of Chimayo; step-brother/sister: Steven Medina and Priscilla Romero; nieces: Patricia and husband William Ward, Darlene and husband Ernie, Sharon and husband Adam Candelario, Kelley and husband Kyle Macdonald; nephews: Arthur and wife Joan Medina, Johnny and wife Eve Candelaria, Charles and wife Andrea Medina and Darin Hankins; great nieces: Brittney Yearout, Ashley Geer and husband Colby, Anamaria and Marisol Medina, Julianna and Monique Candelario, Kennedy Macdonald and Bridget Medina; great nephews: Angelo, Anthony and Marvin Medina, Adam Candelario and Michael Ward. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow at Potrero Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers: Charles, Arthur, Angelo and Anthony Medina, Adam Candelerio and Darin Hankins. The family of Orlinda Medina Griffin has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n.
