He worked for Santa Fe Public Schools for over 50 years.

He volunteered to help family and friends in whatever was needed, from yardwork to painting.

He enjoyed playing cards and dominos with his grandchildren. He was fond of his farm animals; pigs, chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie; parents Patrick and Julia Miera; in-laws Antonio and Eliza; two sons Eloy and Augustine; brothers-in-law Pablo, Max, Herbie Rivera, Melton, Medina and Levi Salazar; sisters-in-law Lucille and Grace Rivera.

Orlando is survived by sons and daughters Gabriel, Albert, Samantha and Soledad (Archie), Orlando Jr. (Bridget), Eliza Miera, Orlanda Gonzales (Orlando), Donna and Pearl; sisters-in-law Sylvia Salazar and Lupe Medina; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Services are pending.

Serving as Pallbearers are Patrick, Gabriel, Samantha Miera, Arthur C. Martinez, Frances Kroesen, Gabriel and Priston Sanchez.

Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren Amanda (Steve), Nicole (Ben), Jessie, Shanah, Cheyenne Kroesen, Layla and Nathaniel Miera; and Goddaughter Shana.
