Orlando Martinez

Orlando J Martinez 72, a resident of Vallecitos passed away Saturday December 4, 2021 peacefully at home. He is processed in death his parents Pablo and Charlotta Martinez, brothers Vidal, Gavino Martinez, and sister Mary Salazar.

Orlando is survived by his wife Marcella Martinez. Children James Martinez and companion Gaylene of Aztec, Pauline Romero and companion Albert of Espanola, Eugene Martinez of Vallecitos, Mark Martinez and companion Karla of Vallecitos, and Gavino and wife Pam of Aztec. Sister Lucia Gallegos and husband Anselmo of Vallecitos, Brother Andrincio and wife Eliza of Coyote. 15 grand kids and 3 great grandchildren. And numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

Orlando was a loving father, husband, brother, father-in-law, and grandfather. He loved to go fishing, hunting, going pinon picking and going for wood. He always was willing to lend a hand in whatever was needed. Orlando will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Public visitation will begin on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oratorio Church in La Madera with a burial to follow at the Vallecitos Catholic Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Marcos Martinez, Anthony Romero, Isaiah Romero, Delbert Herrera, Adrian Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Lucas Gallegos, & Johnny Gallegos. Honorary pallbearers Yolanda Romero, Kabryna Martinez, Aletris Martinez, Damaris Martinez, Jessica Martinez, Destiny & Savannah Fresquez, Jamie, Geneva, and Jasmin Gallegos
