Nikki B Bustos

Nikki Bustos - 41, of Espanola, was welcomed to her eternal home Friday, September 22, 2023 as the fall equinox moon was in perfect harmony of darkness and light with the Libra.  She is survived by her mother, Nanette Valerio, father Leonard Bustos, sister Dani Bustos and her partner Alyssa De La Torre.

Nikki was an accomplished artist, with many mediums, but her true love was black and white photography.  Her work was featured in many art shows, museums and even a few movies over the years.  She enjoyed being behind her camera and creating art.  As an artist, she inspired people of all ages to create.

Family and friends were her passion.  She was a wonderful daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend.  She had a big heart and she made an impact on so many people.  She was a public servant and volunteered for several organizations and worked for non-profits.  She also worked with the youth in many different capacities.

Nikki was a bright and shining star who touched so many people.  She was admired very much by her family, friends and her community.  She was well known and she would greet you with a smile and kind words.  She saw the best in everyone and she would always let you know how important you were to her.

The services will be held on Saturday October 14, 2023, 2:00 p.m., at Northern New Mexico College Center for the Arts.
