NELLIE R. MANZANARES, 73, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Nellie Manzanares-Age 73, a Resident of El LLano, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017. Nellie was born on July 24, 1943 In Espanola, NM and was our beautiful, Precious Butterfly, that brought great joy and warmth to everyone around her. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. Together with her husband, Joe Manzanares they raised their 6 children.  She is preceded in death by her Parents Manuel and Virginia Madril, Daughters, Madeline and Josephine Manzanares. Nellie is survived by Husband Joe Manzanares, Daughters Deanna (Dino Martinez),  Jessica Vigil (Arturo Torres), Jenell (Ray Chavarria) and Sons Joey, Anthony and Willie Manzanares. Grandkids- Manuel and Amanda Martinez. Kevin, Eddie, Ambrose & Amber Manzanares. Joseph Archuleta, Jimmy Vigil, Vanessa Torres and Heaven Martinez, Lucas, Matthew and Tiana Chavarria. Great Grandkids- Valerie, Dominic, Psylis, Cassandra, Emilio, Ambrose Jr., Leland, Josephine & Jose Jr.  Siblings;  Phylis Olivas, Pauline Martinez, Manuel Madril and Theresa Sanchez and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are: Manuel Martinez Jimmy Vigil, Lucas and Matthew Chavarria, Joseph Archuleta, Willie and Anthony Manzanares. The Family of Nellie R.
