MONICA LYNN “LU” JARAMILLO, a resident from Ojo Sarco, NM, was born in Belen, NM, on July 11th, 1978 was taken to be with our dear Lord with her family on her side on March 3rd 2026. 

She had suffered sudden illness while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, a place that she loved to visit. She loved the ocean. During her vacation she spent one of the days on a whale watching excursion and had the opportunity to go on a sunset cruise as well. She spent a lot of her lifetime in Washington State, as she loved Cloudy days and loved the Rain. Lu loved beautiful Ojo Sarco, in which, her boyfriend Eloy introduced to her. She enjoyed plowing and discing the fields on her tractor, that she called “Adrian”. She loved to garden and enjoyed taking care of Mido’s Rose Garden. She loved to Cook, especially making Tortillas and making Pies. She was a beautiful happy and energetic young woman who was a wonderful Christian that allowed the light of God shine through her. She loved animals and always had dog treats in the car and would distribute them to the dogs that chased the car on the Ojo Sarco road. She rescued her little kitty, who she called “Little One”. Lu loved Nature, she even helped with cleaning the acequias of Ojo Sarco. She was a very Selfless and Kind woman, who would be willing to help anyone in need.

She is Survived By her Boyfriend Eloy Martinez from Ojo Sarco; mother Vicky Davis and father Gilbert (Rosie) Montano both from Belen, NM; brother, stepsister Carina, and numerous nephews, niece, numerous cousins, and Friends. She’s also survived by her extended Martinez Family from Ojo Sarco, whom she Loved very much, especially Eloy’s dad, Levi Martinez. While in Ojo Sarco she also made lots of friends, including people from the church Community in Chimayo.

She will be Dearly missed by Everyone who knew her….. May She Rest in Peace.

Services for Monica are on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Santo Tomas Catholic Church in Ojo Sarco, NM, with a Rosary to be recited at 1:00 pm, and Mass to follow at 2:00 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
