Mildred E White, 61, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday evening June 24, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her sister Yolanda White; her mother Marie “Luggie” White; her father Thomas White; and her step-sister Hazel Leekela.

She is survived by her two daughters: Markesha Cata (Brittany), Marshay Cata; grandchildren Remilee, Kenneth Jr., Rilen; sister Lorraine White (Norman); niece Alaina White (Darryl); great-niece and nephews Jade, Aiden,Daniel, as well as many other family and friends that she truly cherished.

Mildred White was born and raised in the pueblo of Ohkay Owingeh. She graduated a proud Sundevil from Espanola Valley High School, then went on to graduate from Northern New Mexico College with her Associates and Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She continued straight into the work force, working and being a devoted worker to Northern Pueblos Agency, Bureau of Investigations and meet many coworkersw who turned great family friends. She gave BIA 30+ fantastic years, ultimately retiring jack of all trades woman from the Agency.

After retirement, Mildred loved spending her time with her three grandchildren, great niece and nephews anyway she could, supporting their sports activities and enjoying family functions. She also loved quality time at the casino, winning those jackpots or yelling at bingo. She also loved yelling for her Dallas Cowboys, whom she had a love/hate relationship with never missing any games, preseason or playoff.

Mildred will always be remembered for her caring, loving, funny nature, and always being kind. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her and her memory will live on through each of us in our hearts forever to come.
