Michael A. “Cheb” Harvier, III - 34, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh was called home on Friday, July 8, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Española. Michael was a self-taught musician perfecting in guitar and had a vast love for music. He served in the United States Army National Guard. Michael loved being with his children and attended Valley Harvest Community Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Michael A. Harvier II and Priscilla Tapia; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Percy Tapia; paternal grandparents, Michael A. Harvier Sr. and Andreita Harvier. Michael is survived by his children: Michaela Lou Harvier and Michael Anthony Harvier IV, both of Española; step-daughter, Raquel Turner of Española; mother of his children, Tammie Harvier of Española; sisters: Michelle Harvier of Santa Clara Pueblo, April Harvier Gonzales and husband Cavan of San Ildefonso Pueblo; brother, Anthony Clay of Santa Clara Pueblo; in-laws, Phil Romero and Lila Herrera of Española; grandparents-in-laws, Deacon Diego and Edith Herrera of Española; god-children: Cheyenne Bullcoming of Ohkay Owingeh and Caleb Tsosie of Santa Clara; niece, Andreita Gonzales of San Ildefonso; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. He will be loved and missed dearly. A devotional service will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Victory Faith Church in Española. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Victory Faith Church. Burial will follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo Cemetery. With the following serving as pallbearers: Jonathan Valencia, Harold Montoya, Chris Waters, Zach Harvier, Eppie Tapia and Toby Tsosie; honorary pallbearers will be all his aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
